As the BSO comes to the end of its 2016 Centennial year, they celebrate with a weekend of Beethoven! This particular concert will feature a performance of Beethoven's famous Ninth Symphony, as well as a BSO premiere of John Adams's, Absolute Jest, and the world premiere of Double Play, a Centennial Celebration Commission composed by TJ Cole.

Part of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra's Beethoven (re)Discovered festival, this special event features the St. Lawrence String Quartet sharing a program of works by Beethoven and Haydn. There will also be a pre-concert lecture by Carl B. Schmidt at 4:30pm in the Clipper Room upstairs from the Shriver hall lobby.
