Venture to the other side of Second Presbyterian Church for a Pre-Concert Student Showcase before The Zodiac Trio concert at Community Concerts at Second! The student showcase will take place in the Sanctuary at Second Presbyterian Church and feature students from Baltimore School of Music.
Pianist Sam Post, winner of our 2014 Wonderlic Competition, returns to perform a unique program in collaboration with Kassia Music Collective, a chamber ensemble whose repertoire creatively infuses classical music with various genres and styles. Sam’s solo repertoire will feature American rags and a piano prelude and fugue by J. S. Bach.
Guitar Open Stage evenings are set in a very informal atmosphere with an appreciative audience. All levels of classical guitar playing are welcome – players, listeners, ensembles, guitar with other instruments, whatever! You are welcome to bring your guitar to play, or you can just listen to others.
