As part of Baltimore School of Music’s outreach and continuing support of our community, this winter BSM Director James Lowe taught a guitar class at William Pinderhughes Elementary & Middle School in the Druid Hill neighborhood of Baltimore.

The class varied in size from 4-8 students each week and was put on in partnership with Druid Heights Community Development Corporation, a non-profit whose mission is to cause, encourage and promote community self-empowerment through the development of economic, educational, employment and affordable housing opportunities.

The class concluded on February 25 with a performance by the students in the auditorium of William Pinderhughes, where each student played a solo guitar piece in front of their classmates.
