Join Europa Galante, led by Fabio Biondi, as they give a glimpse into the life of orphan Chiara, a pupil in the orchestra that was led by composer Antionio Vivaldi at the Ospedale della Pieta in Venice. In this program, Fabio Biondi "opens wide the orphanage doors and reveals its rich musical life as told from the viewpoint of...Chiara, the most famous of [the orphanage orchestra] musicians." The program features works that Chiara played at the orphanage and pieces that were composed especially for her, including works by Vivaldi, Porta, Porpora, Martinelli, and many more.
