Guitar Orchestra

Baltimore School of Music’s Guitar Orchestra fosters a collaborative and supportive learning environment, encouraging students to develop not only technical proficiency but also a deep understanding of musical expression and teamwork. Guitar Orchestra consists of up to 8 guitarists performing together. Intermediate through advanced guitar students are welcome to join the orchestra.

Requirements:

• Be a student registered in private music lessons at Baltimore School of Music
• Have a nylon-string guitar and play in classical position with a footstool
• Be able to tune a guitar with a guitar tuner
• Read notes on all 6 strings in the first position
• Play whole, half, quarter, eighth notes
