30-Minute, 45-Minute or 60-Minute Music Lessons
All mandolin lessons are taught as private, one-on-one music instruction and are available in lengths of 30, 45, and 60 minutes. Our mandolin lessons focus on classical technique reading from notated music, but the skills learned will apply to a wide variety of styles. We suggest kids and teenagers begin with 30-minute lessons and progress to longer lengths as your teacher recommends. For adults who have some previous experience, we recommend starting with 45- or 60-minute lessons.
Mandolin Lessons for Kids and Teenagers
Our teachers strive to be patient and make learning the mandolin enjoyable for young students. Mandolin lessons for kids include learning fundamentals, such as posture, tuning, music reading, and fun songs and games are added to keep students interested and engaged.
Mandolin Lessons for Adults
We love adult music students! Adults new to playing the mandolin begin with basic technique and music reading and progress to perform a variety of repertoire. Intermediate and advanced students are introduced to advanced techniques, scales, speed work, and more challenging repertoire.

Baltimore School of Music carries a comprehensive selection of instruments, books, and accessories students can purchase for their music lessons. We have top-of-the-line acoustic pianos in our classrooms for students to use for music lessons. For all other instruments, students need to bring their own instrument to their lessons.
