Baltimore School of Music offers ukulele lessons for kids and adults. Our ukulele program is a great introduction to playing the guitar for kids or adults who just want to have some fun playing music!
All ukulele lessons are taught as private, one-on-one music instruction and are available in lengths of 30, 45, and 60 minutes. We suggest kids and teenagers begin with 30-minute ukulele lessons and progress to longer lengths as your teacher recommends. For adults who have some previous experience, we recommend starting with 45- or 60-minute lessons.
Ukulele Lessons for Kids and Teenagers
The ukulele is a popular instrument for kids because of its size and simplicity. Typically, chords are played on the ukulele to accompany singing or playing simple melodies and is a great way to introduce kids and teenagers to music lessons in a fun, relaxed way. Because of it’s simplicity, most students transfer to guitar lessons after a few months to a year of playing the ukulele, though this is up to each student and their teacher.
