STRINGS TEACHER

Baltimore School of Music, located at The Villages of Cross Keys, is a vibrant community music school dedicated to delivering high-quality music education for students of all ages and skill levels. We connect passionate, professional music educators with eager learners in a supportive and dynamic environment.
We are currently seeking an experienced strings instructor with a strong classical background to join our team, teaching private lessons 2-3 days per week based on room availability. The ability to teach beginning piano is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a strings instructor at Baltimore School of Music, you will:
- Teach private, one-on-one lessons in strings (violin, viola, cello, or bass) to children, teens, and adults of all skill levels (lesson durations are 30, 45, or 60 minutes).
- Teach beginning piano lessons as needed.
- Manage minor administrative tasks, including scheduling and record-keeping, to maintain a well-organized studio.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience teaching private lessons to both children and adults
- Strong classical background in strings and willingness to teach multiple string instruments
- Ability to teach beginning piano lessons is preferred
- Passion for music education
- Reliable schedule and effective communication skills
- Commitment to providing exceptional music education
- Teaching liability insurance (must be obtained if not already in place)

- Schedule make-up lessons and clearly communicate school policies to students and families
- Provide high-quality instruction using both traditional and contemporary methods
- Support and promote school events, including recitals and community activities
- Tailor your teaching approach to meet each student’s unique needs
